Brief Introduction of Hot-dip Galvanizing Technology for Packaging Steel Strip
Hot-dip galvanizing is a way to prevent steel from rusting. The process is basically to clean the surface of the workpiece through a chemical treatment method, and then immerse it in a galvanizing pot, where the zinc and iron react to form a coating. Since galvanizing became a commodity for the first time more than 150 years ago, there has been no change in the original burying of galvanizing, but only after extensive research on the galvanizing process has made today's galvanizing technically controllable industry.
Because zinc cannot react with the steel covered with rust or grease, it must be cleaned before hot-dip galvanizing steel workpieces. The leaves include degreasing, sandblasting and pickling. Secondly, the steel parts must be coated with a layer of solvent to activate the surface and allow the zinc to 'wet' it and react during immersion. 3 When the galvanized parts are taken out, the excess zinc flows back into the zinc pot. Galvanized parts can be immersed in water (immersion cold) or simply cooled in air.
The difference between the two main processes used by is the solvent application method. The wet galvanizing process is to galvanize the workpiece through the solvent floating on the surface of the zinc pot after pickling and cleaning: the dry galvanizing process is to dry the layer of solvent on the workpiece before the immersion plating, and then the workpiece Dip into the galvanized pot.
