Introduction to mixed pickling of packaging steel strip
Mixed pickling of strip steel refers to the use of two acids or more than two acids for pickling of strip steel during pickling. A faster pickling speed can be achieved by adopting mixed pickling. For example, a mixed acid solution of 5% hydrochloric acid and 2.5% hydrochloric acid will act 10 times faster than a 10% hydrochloric acid solution.
Pickling with mixed acid has high requirements for the corrosion resistance of materials used in manufacturing equipment. Various acids require separate tanks, pumps, mixers and batching devices. Various pickling steam requires a finer exhaust gas extraction device and purification device. Compared with the pickling of ordinary steel, mixed pickling consumes a lot of acid, because the mixed waste acid cannot be regenerated, and it has to be neutralized and discharged with a higher content of free acid.
