Because this kind of steel belt has good flexibility, it can be bent around a driving wheel with a smaller diameter, and the diameter of the traction wheel can be reduced. The main engine only occupies 30% of the space of the traditional geared traction machine. Due to the large contact area between the flat steel belt and the traction wheel, the wear of the traction wheel is reduced. The coefficient of friction between the flat steel belt and the traction sheave is also larger than that of the traditional steel wire rope.
This form of traction medium is a new material and new technology application that breaks through existing standards.
