The effect of cold rolling of packaging steel strip on strip performance and subsequent processing
　　Although cold rolling is mainly used to obtain the actual dimensions required by the rolled product, if the actual surface conditions and metallurgical conditions of the metal undergoing deformation are not changed, cold rolling cannot achieve the above-mentioned requirements. During the rolling of strip steel, its surface is usually covered with the residue of rolling lubricating liquid, which makes the surface of strip steel relatively dirty, and sometimes there are defects directly caused by rolling on the cold rolling mill. More importantly, as a result of this deformation, the metal produces work hardening or increases the hardness, and reduces the ductility.
　　Because of the further processing or use of sheet or strip steel, such as electroplating tin, the surface is required to be very clean, so all the residual rolling lubricant must be removed from the surface of the strip steel. At the same time, in order to restore the required metallurgical properties, the strip must be heat treated. However, as will be seen, the kinetics of these hot embedding processes are affected by the given strip reduction rate, and even after heat treatment, the cold rolling reduction rate is affected by the anisotropic properties of the strip and its texture. The structural impact is still obvious.
　　This disc will briefly introduce readers to the manufacturing steps of the further processing of the strip after a cold rolling in the Guangan hot zone. These steps include cleaning, heat treatment, leveling, secondary cold rolling, foil rolling, shearing, trimming and slitting, metal and organic coating, embossing, cold bending and oiling. This chapter will also discuss some of the metallurgical issues in these processes. Several sections will also briefly introduce the processing of electrical steel and stainless steel.
